Loved this place. From the Visitor's Center you can see the lush meadow, mountain tops and the old halfway house. As we left a red fox darted across the road. We traveled the road to the lake. Numerous beautiful views along the way. The lake was beautiful, people canoeing as we watched. There are camper spots, small cabin and canoes for rent. You can walk around the area and lake if you desire. For free it's hard to beat.
Very beautiful lake with amazing campground facilities. The park ranger was very nice and very helpful and the toilets are flushable :-) would recommend to
Fishing is good here and there is a nice 1.5 mile trail around the lake that is good for a nice walk. Water is clear, some of the clearest water I have seen. FYI it will be closed the summer of 2018 as they replace the damn.
Beautiful as can be. The camp sites are a little small. Can bring dogs but they must be leashed at all times. There are SO many fish jumping in the early morning and afternoon
Beautiful park with lots to offer. We loved the convince of renting paddle boards and kayaks right next to the lake. The facilities were very nice and clean. Great place for large groups and families with young kids or dogs. The hiking and camping was great, we had a blast!
