I agree that the hostess wasn't thrilled to see us, but out waitress was wonderful!. The food was outstanding!

To my check for just two people..
Tried this place three times in the last month. Usually get a steak dinner and it's a crapshoot to see what you get. I order rare and two times got medium well. Tonight the steak was way over salted, and the restaurant was overrun with flies. Got five bites into my steak and had my beer get two flies into it, and was spending more time fighting flies off my dinner than eating. Gave up and asked for a to go box. A half hearted apology was all I got, and the waitress agreed the flies were bad. Also avoid Friday night when they have a horrible band that drowns out everything
Gave this place a second chance, should have known better. First visit, lady at the front who seated us couldn't be less happy to see us and in fact quite rude. When asked for some sugar packets, they were literally tossed on the table without a word (place mostly empty so not a lunch rush). Second visit, seated promptly, ordered right away and got drinks. And then waited. And waited. Place cleared out, no food visibly coming out of the kitchen. Waitress clearly avoiding even eye contact, no coffee refills even, after 45 min had to ask another waitress to check on our food and then follow up, in response just told it may be next. Ten minutes later, still no food, we got up, offered to pay for drinks and walked out. I haven't encountered worse service in a very long time.. I'd say, avoid even though there aren't too many options in town.
We got 3 of their slushes from the ice cream window. They added ice cream to the slushes and they were amazing. So good. The outside sitting area was clean and shaded. The staff was quick and helpful.
