Absolutely awesome food. I had the smoked wings, with 2 ribs, baked beans, potato salad and sweet tea. Wings were delicious, cooked to perfection, the ribs were very good, a little small but probably because I got them added on, but had the perfect texture and flavor. They were really fast, I had barely got my tea and sat down for a few mins when they called my name. Great food and quick service for lunch time.
The good, authentic bbq joint atmosphere. No posers here. Great smoke smells. Portions are good and the sides were served in a cool way and were great tasting. Sides I didn't think i would like were fantastic.
The bad, I had the ribs. They were a little bitter and very tough meat. Not tender in the slightest. The smoke ring was the only appealing part. The meat looked tough. They most likely undercooked them. These did not come off at 205 internal. Sloppy work. What the heck kind of a true bbq joint only serves brisket Monday morning and that it?
Evaluation, I would go there again if I were in Eagle. I would recommend the place but I would expect more of a plain bbq flavor experience on your main dishes. They are not winning any competitions anytime soon.
